Last March 11, 2019, a 16 year old, grade 9 student and Catholic church collector went missing. Her body was found the following morning in an empty lot in Lapu-lapu City, Cebu, Philippines- lifeless, with no undergarments, entire face skinned off to her skull; her tongue, trachea and esophagus missing.

According to sources, she asked permission from her mom that she would go to church but never came back home. She was seen leaving the church with an altar boy friend but according to this friend, she asked him to wait for her for awhile because she needed to go to the toilet but after some time, he said that she never came back and thought she went home ahead.
Christine was last seen by some witnesses with three male companions. According to one of the witnesses, he/she saw one guy holding both her hands while one guy stabbed her multiple times and the third guy was peeling off her facial skin to her skull. The witness was too scared to death at that time to report it to authorities.
Thorough investigation is still ongoing and further details have not been made public yet as it might compromise their lead.
This brutal killing might be the worst I’ve known so far. How can a fellow human do such a thing to another human?!
Christine’s mother said that she was a quiet and obedient daughter. She never complained when asked to do chores. I am also a mother of a sweet 15-year old and I can’t help but feel the pain of her family, especially her mother.
